Monthly Archives: July 2013

This is one of the best weddings I have had the pleasure to photograph.   Here is Kyle’s & Heather’s Storey. Here is our story….. Our story begins on the playground of Spruceland elementary, a time when winning at fish tag, capturing the flag, and getting a swing at recess marked important current events. Unique to our relationship is the fact that we were able to build our friendship at such an innocent stage in life. Throughout the years we have been able to watch each other grow, and support each other along the way. As children we were classmates, neighbours (growing up only seven houses apart!), and friends. In the spring of 2004 our friendship evolved into a romance, quickly going from friends to high school sweethearts. Over the past 9 years our adventures entail camping trips, vacations in Mexico, backpacking through Japan, graduations, and countless special holidays. Christmas day 2011, at 9pm I walked out onto the deck and something caught my attention out of the corner of my eye. At first I was confused but then it all came together… M-A-R-R-Y-M-E was spelt out in Christmas lights on the deck railing. I turned around and there was my prince charming following me with a ring in hand.

I recently had a great opportunity to Photograph a poster for Judy Russell’s production of Les Miserables.  The play starts tonight and runs till August 3rd at the P.G. Playhouse, tickets can be purchased at Studio 2880.  I would like to thank Leah Coghlan and Judy Russell for giving me this amazing  opportunity and letting me have full artistic freedom on this exciting project.  A big thank you to P.G. Equine and Animal Rescue for letting us use their farm to do the pictures. Photographs taken by me and the poster is designed by the very talented Leah Coghlan from Pint Sized Design.  If you would like two tickets to Saturday nights (July 20th) play please share this link and send me a message on Facebook, doors open  at 7 pm.  The Winner is Sheena TG, please message me for your tickets.

Here is another Engagement session and this time it’s my other sister who is also getting married this year.  Hmm maybe my turn will be coming soon, LOL.  I asked Ashley to tell us how Brian proposed and this is how it goes.

My fiancé Brian and I met at our workplace, we work in the lower mainland as longshoreman. It didn’t take long after we started dating to know this was the real deal. We both couldn’t be happier. Six months after we started dating Brian totally surprised me and proposed, on one of our trips up north to visit my family. We had recently bought acreage and on new years day we went out on a snowmobile ride to tour the new property. He took me up to the highest point on the property that  overlooked Mt Wells and the Whitesail mountain ranges. It was absolutely stunning the sun was shinning and the trees sparkled like they were covered in diamonds from the fresh snow fall. It was the most perfect day!  Brian got down on one knee, I said YESS and the rest is history. I couldn’t be more happy to be marrying my best friend and soul mate.
